Phoenix FM continues to be a strong supporter of the local music scene, providing a platform for up-and-coming bands to share their sound. In a recent feature, the station highlighted talented local artists, giving them the opportunity to connect with new audiences. By championing grassroots music, Phoenix FM helps emerging bands gain the exposure they need to grow and thrive.
Our annual commitment to showcase the best in local talent got off to a flying start with our first live session of the year from Brentwood band Ladhood.
The band comprises Finlay on vocals, Dan on guitar, Zach on bass and Dom on drums.
The four-piece visited Andy Gardener’s Under The Radar show to talk about their music and inspirations. They also played their new single, Little Miss Shalala, live in the studio.
We’re hoping to get more local talent in soon – Andy has already got another Brentwood band, Mint, lined up for his show on January 23rd.
You can hear the interview and session again at phoenixfm.com and find out more about Ladhood at linktr.ee/ladhood.
Andy’s show showcases local talent as well as signed and unsigned alternative pop and rock acts from further afield. You can hear it every Monday at 6pm on 98.0FM.
