Phoenix FM Features Author Mark Butterworth in Ongoing Support of Local Literary Talent

Phoenix FM’s Eat My Brunch show, hosted by Michelle Ward, recently welcomed local author Mark Butterworth to discuss his novel, The Pearl River. This appearance is part of the station’s longstanding commitment to promoting local authors and enriching the community’s literary scene. Listeners can find Mark’s interview and more literary discussions on Phoenix FM’s website.

We have a regular book slot on Michelle Ward’s Eat My Brunch show, which has been running for over 10 years now in the weekday 10am-1pm lost.

Last week it was the turn of local author Mark Butterworth, who came in to talk about his book THE PEARL RIVER.

The book has had rave reviews. It revolves around a RAF pilot in post-World War II Britain who adapts to his new life, work rivals and love interest. It’s a real tale of love, war and intrigue.

The book is available locally at the Chicken & Frog bookshop and also from Mark’s website at markbutterworthauthor.co.uk.

Mark is a Londoner who now lives in Essex and is a former pilot himself. He’s currently working on a sequel, which has a Cold War backdrop.

Joining Mark, and all of our literary guests, once again was Sylvia Kent. The Brentwood author has been contributing news and reviews ever since we started broadcasting part time in December 1998!

Mark and Sylvia’s interviews with Michelle can be heard again at www.phoenixfm.com.
